Initially the UMK Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS-UMK) was known as a Unit for Research and Postgraduate Studies. In recognition of the importance of postgraduate education and academic excellence in UMK, the University has taken a step forward to rebrand their Unit for Research and Postgraduate Studies to Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS-UMK).
CPS-UMK was officially establish on 14 April 2012, for managing and coordinating all postgraduate programs offered at UMK. The diversity of postgraduate programs at UMK can be seen through the fields of research conducted by the faculty members. currently there are more than 32 fields of research being activities pursued.
