Sinopsis:
The aim is to produce agriculture savvy entrepreneurs that are able to utilise limited sources of agriculture input through innovation and creativity. They are able to handle the challenges in agriculture such as new technology, consumer demand and preferences in order to remain relevant and sustainable in the agriculture industry.
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is the research programme offered throughout the year. This programme is offered as full-time and part-time modes to qualified Malaysian and International Students to do independent research supervised by qualified lecturers. There are five fields of research that are available at the Faculty of Agro Based Industry (FIAT) namely agro technopreneurship, product development technology, bio-industrial technology and agricultural biotechnology.

The aim is to produce graduates who are able to use range of tools, including traditional breeding techniques that alter living organisms or parts of organisms, to make or modify products; improve plants or animals; or develop microorganisms for specific agricultural using genetic engineering technology.

Sinopsis:
To develop expertise and skills in developing products ranging from identifying the raw materials up to product marketing using creative thinking and innovative in proposing a design that can be developed that meets the standards, unique and value added. This covered manufacturing of a product and how it is produced, how to improve the activity and stability, storage, security, rule of product development, product quality, sensory evaluation, packaging and further design affect the market value of the product.
