Synopsis:
The Master of Arts in Heritage Studies is a research programme offered throughout the year. This programme is offered as full-time and part-time modes to qualified Malaysian and International Students to do independent research supervised by qualified lecturers in the field of Heritage Studies under the Heritage and Civilization Research cluster. As the field of heritage studies is dynamic, new areas/fields such as tangible heritage and intangible heritage can be explored. The program also combines learning encompassing the approach from Department of National Heritage, UNESCO and ICOMOS. Upon graduation, students may be employed as academics, researchers, profesionals at managerial level, etc. in both public and private sectors.
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is the research programme offered throughout the year. This programme is offered as full-time and part-time modes to qualified Malaysian and International Students to do independent research supervised by qualified lecturers who are attached to the research clusters of Creative Arts and Technology (CAT) and Heritage and Civilization (HAC). There are five fields of research that are available at the Faculty of Creative Technology and Heritage (FTKW) namely heritage studies, textile and fashion, product design, multimedia and visual communication. As the two research clusters are dynamic, new areas/fields of interdisciplinary nature are emerging and interesting for research discovery. Upon graduation, students may be employed as academics, researchers, creative directors, consultant, etc. in both public and private sectors.

The Master of Arts in Textile and Fashion is a research programme offered throughout the year. This programme is offered as full-time and part-time modes to qualified Malaysian and International Students to do independent research supervised by their qualified lecturers in the field of Texile and Fashion under the Creative Arts and Technology Research cluster. As the field of Texitile and Fashion is dynamic, new areas/fields to explore include textile industry and the global trend in fashion . Upon graduation, students may be employed as academics, researchers, Profesional Fashion Designer, profesionals at managerial level, etc. in both public and private sectors.

As the field of Product Design is dynamic, the areas/fields to explore include current and future innovation and design of products. Upon graduation, students may be employed as academics, researchers, designers, inventor, profesionals at managerial level, etc. in both public and private sectors.

As the field of Visual Communication is dynamic, many new areas/fields can be discovered. Upon graduation, students may be employed as academics, researchers, Visual Communication Designer, Visual Communication Consultant, Multimedia Consultant, Creative Director, profesionals at management level, etc. in both public and private sectors.
